July Monthly Meeting

Join the Miami Valley Beekeepers Association on July 7th at the Tipp City Public Library for our monthly meeting! This month, we're diving into the fascinating process of transforming raw beeswax into a beautiful and usable product.

Our very own experienced beekeepers, Jeff and Erica Adler, will be leading an insightful presentation and demonstration on rendering raw beeswax. Whether you're a seasoned beekeeper looking to refine your wax processing skills or a curious beginner wanting to learn more about this valuable byproduct of the hive, this meeting is for you!

During this session, Jeff and Erica will cover:

• The different sources of raw beeswax from your hives (cappings, burr comb, old frames).

• Various methods for rendering beeswax, from simple solar melting to more involved water bath techniques.

• Essential equipment and safety precautions for rendering wax.
